The Coos County Airport District exists to serve the citizens of Coos County and benefit the Southwestern Oregon Region by providing quality commercial and general aviation services.
The Coos County Airport District will promote the use of their Business Park to benefit the transportation resource to become self-supporting over time.
The District has establised these GOALS to achive this mission.
The Coos County Airport District was formed by popular election of the people of Coos County in the Fall of 2002. The District is responsible for the operation of the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport. The District's purpose is to provide a stable economic base for aviation services for all of Coos County. The District strives to serve all of the people of the County.
The District is governed by a Board of five Commissioners elected county wide. The primary duty of the Board is to establish policies for the governance of the Distirct and provide oversight of its daily activities.
