Master Plan Overview:
Southwest Oregon Regional Airport is updating the Airport Master Plan!
The Coos County Airport District is preparing an update to the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport (OTH) Master Plan. The purpose for updating the Master Plan is to establish the vision for this vital facility and chart the new course for the upcoming 20-year period.
The study will provide analysis and a recommended course of action, detailing the optimum way the Airport can grow over time to meet aviation transportation needs and at the same time provide opportunities for increased economic stimulus to the region.
To permit broad public participation in the study process, the Airport is forming a Master Plan Advisory Committee. The committee will be comprised of key leaders and representatives from the community, Airport leaders, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the State of Oregon, local planning professionals, airport users and tenants, neighborhood and community groups, among others.
During the study period, informational workshops will be held to allow the general public to comment on study findings, ask questions, and provide input. Comments received will be addressed and help shape the final recommendations.
Please visit this page periodically to keep abreast of the progress and to offer comments on this key planning project at OTH.
